Six worked inspection examples

1. Short meeting: six priorities, fourteen states

The brief view keeps visible identity, pixels, keyboard, mouse, audio channels and the battery report. These are planning priorities, not a measured duration or overall approval. Bring a compatible charger, headphones and your own USB drive. Keep the other eight steps Not tested when time or permission is unavailable. A checkbox tracks progress; save each test result separately.

Real partial example: browser signals on a Mac mini

On 23 October 2026, an agent used a temporary native Chrome Incognito session to record device overview and display geometry on the available Mac mini. They were chosen to retain environment and logical scale without requesting media permissions or manipulating peripherals. The exported inspection contains two Review results, twelve Not tested components and zero passes. No physical laptop inspection was performed.

From choosing Brief scope to completing both UI downloads: 09:46:37.801–09:50:54.987 UTC, 4 min 17.186 s. This elapsed time includes navigation, evidence capture, waits and an unsuccessful rename attempt; it is neither human task time nor a meeting-duration promise. Display geometry was an additional check outside the six brief priorities.

The model comes from host context; browser-exposed values do not establish CPU, installed RAM, native panel resolution or hardware health. Camera, microphone, physical inputs, audio, battery and peripherals remained untested. The synthetic sample below is separate.

2. Spanish and Brazilian keyboards: received events

Record physical ES ISO or ABNT2 layout, OS layout, browser and date. Try Ñ/Ç, AltGr, the key next to left Shift, numpad and a usual combination. Record key and code separately: code describes position, while key depends on layout. Missing Fn or OS shortcut events mean Not observed; repeat in a native app before blaming hardware.

3. Pixel or reflection: repeatable observation

Illustrative example, not equipment photography: a dark point stays in place across white/red/green/blue fields, while a reflection changes with viewing angle. Record system brightness, scaling, zoom, room light and approximate position; repeat after moving the browser window. Keep your own observations and photographs. Patterns do not measure luminance or color accuracy.

4. Battery: a reproducible calculation

Synthetic design capacity 60,000 mWh and full-charge capacity 51,900 mWh give 51,900 / 60,000 × 100 = 86.5%. This is neither current charge nor a runtime prediction. The sample reports 187 cycles; missing cycles in another report remain missing. Compare report date with meeting date and read history in the original HTML. 5. Ports and locks: a physical worksheet

Record port→your accessory→action→result→date. Fictional row: USB-A→drive→read known file→pending. Ask the seller to verify charger, hinges, labels, firmware and ownership without saving passwords. Storage identity, activation locks and enterprise management need model-specific native checks. Browser tests do not prove identity, ownership or absence of locks. Dell distinguishes ePSA and SupportAssist.

6. Readable report: observations, concerns and omissions

The downloadable sample is entirely synthetic: keyboard observed favorably, display concern, camera not tested because permission was skipped. All fourteen components, fictional date and environment are retained. Preparing a report copies the active report results with original dates; a visit or checkbox is not an executed test.
