Permission should follow a user action
A test page should not request camera or microphone access on load. Start only when the person is ready and explain what remains local.
Stopping the track matters
Closing a preview element is not enough if the media track is still active. Verify that the browser or operating-system privacy indicator turns off.
Review both browser and system controls
A denial can come from site permission, browser policy, operating-system privacy settings, hardware shutter, function key, device driver, or another application holding the device.
